Spring Has Sprung

Today the crabapple tree by our driveway burst into full bud and bloom. It’s marvellous to see the tree suddenly decked in white. With squirrels frolicking, birds chirping their little lungs out, and worms sprawling on asphalt drives when the rain keeps soaking the ground, it’s definite that spring has arrived. (Of course, in Minnesota, we do have the chance of late-season snow.)

With spring comes reflection. Instead of wanting to curl up indoors, there’s a sense of awakending. I should be doing something. What? I don’t know, but I should be focusing on something.

Do you have that sense, triggered by spring or something else–a milestone birthday, a sudden opprotunity or chnage? You think about what could happen and what changes you want to make. Of course, it’s easier to go back to television or reading or whatever your comfort of choice might be.

Today, let’s try for one step forward. A few minutes or research or thought or even a step toward one of those goals that glimmer in your mind. Let’s make today a step toward what you really want to be doing.
