A recent blog compiled a list of the best cat movies for children. https://www.thedodo.com/dodowell/best-cat-movies-for-kids
When I spotted the list, it seemed to be clever movies with smart felines–or at least, persistent felines with a purpose.
I went looking for a similar list of the best dog movies for children: https://www.momjunction.com/articles/best-dog-movies-for-kids-to-watch_00780212/
It’s longer, and I think the movies are both sadder and more heartwarming. They probably have clearer moral outcomes as well. I’m not surprised by the number, but thinkiing about what we expect from dogs rather than cats is iinteresting.
Could we group people into loyal canine types and indepent feline types? Is one group easier to trust and the other group more likely to be sneaky? Something for me to ponder.
